What data we handle, and what we do not collect.
Bolt does not collect personal data, create user accounts, or track individuals. No login is required. Search queries entered into the Item Lookup tool may be processed by third-party AI services. Do not enter personal identifying information into any search field.
Bolt does not collect, store, or process personal identifying information as part of its core functionality. There are no user accounts, registration flows, login systems, or persistent user profiles of any kind.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any other identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it through the contact form.
Bolt has no account system. You do not sign in, register, or authenticate to use this tool. There is no user database. No credentials are stored on our servers because none are created.
When you use the Item Lookup search feature, the text of your query is transmitted to our server and forwarded to Google's Gemini AI API to generate a research result. This means your query text leaves our infrastructure and is processed on Google's servers under Google's Privacy Policy.
Queries may also be stored briefly in a server-side cache (Upstash Redis) with a 15-minute expiration to improve response speed for repeated lookups. After expiration, cached data is automatically deleted.
Important: Do not enter personal identifying information — such as names, addresses, policy numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive data — into the search bar. The search field is designed for product descriptions (e.g., brand, model, and approximate age), not personal information.
The "Serial Number Decoder" serial number decoder runs entirely within your browser using local JavaScript. Serial numbers you enter for supported brands are never transmitted to Bolt's servers or any third party. The decoding happens locally on your device.
Bolt does not load advertising trackers, social media pixels, or behavioral analytics scripts. No cookies are set by this application. No persistent data is written to your browser's local storage or session storage.
